As you guessed it, my name is Sherry and I'm the owner of Sherry Weedon Events. I'm a Southern Girl who loves, LOVE. I also love Planning, Decorating and Family. I came to Maryland by way of Vicksburg, MS. A small-ish city very similar to the place I now call home, Frederick, MD. I've been planning wedding and events for more than 10 years. My love for planning started with planning events in college. When I entered corporate America, I could always be counted on to volunteer to organize events (most were tech events but hey, like I said I like planning). Like many professionals in this business, I started dabbling in this industry by designing invitations for family and friends or planning and decorating weddings and parties for anyone that would ask. By profession and trade, I'm a planner, project manager, to be exact. I excel at breaking down large tasks into small manageable chunks to accomplish a goal within a defined budget and timeline. Event planning was a natural outlet for my creative needs.
My personal motto is "don't stop until you're proud". You can thank or blame my mom for that. Your choice. No matter the size of the task, I believe in giving it my all and doing my best. So it is only natural that I adopt the same principle for my business and my team.

I founded Sherry Weedon Events in 2015 with the goal of making professional wedding advice and guidance attainable for all couples. What people love about me? I'm a good listener and resourceful.
So who is Sherry? Sherry is...
❤ Real and relatable. No pretending here. I am who I am and if I get a say, I am pretty darn amazing!
❤ Thrifty and bougie. I joke that even if I had Oprah money, I'd still walk into Bed Bath and Beyond with a stack of coupons in hand. Like they don't want me to pay full-price so why would I?
❤ Analog girl in a digital world. Well respected IT professional that loves to send and receive hand-written notes and I still prefer taking notes with pen and paper and yes let's not omit my love for books, not ebooks. Nothing like the smell of a new book.
❤ Adventurous, homebody. For as much as I love traveling the world, I can be just as happy at home, outside in my garden, as long my next trip is booked.
❤ Outdoorsy but afraid of bugs. There is no better place than being outside. Especially when I'm by the water. I love going fishing with my #hubby as much as I love being in my garden. While all of this is true, I don't do bugs! As a #boymom I guess I better get over it because that young man loves his bugs.
And last but not least
❤ Spontaneous planner. Yes it is possible! I love planning, natural born project manager here but I plan to one day just show up at the airport and purchase a ticket. Being dynamic is one of my best qualities, especially as it relates to dealing with the changes that can occur when planning a wedding or special occasion event.
